Healthy Spirits: Bourbon Barrel Aged Moylan's Old Blarney Barley Wine

We are happy to announce the arrival of the latest exclusive Healthy Spirits barrel aged beer! Moylan's re-wet the Buffalo Trace barrel they used for our first ever barrel project (the Moylan's Bourbon Imperial Stout) and aged their Old Blarney Barleywine in it for just over a year.

It's very dry, with a faint woody bourbon/vanilla character and the slightest hint of brettanomyces funk. Though it is a touch boozy fresh, I think it will mellow beautifully with a year or so of cellar time.

This one was very limited, with only 10 total cases produced (120 bottles). It is available at both our Castro and Clement Street locations for $13.99 per bottle.
